With a personality that many see as cocky, coupled with a confidence that defies all odds, Blaqbonez, an artiste signed to 100 Crowns, a label imprint of Chocolate City Music, seems to be creating a niche for himself that many have likened to football’s Zlatan Ibrahimović.
The later who is not only famous for his prolific footballing and goal scroring skills, but for his unusual, somtimes annoying confidence, brash-ish demeanor and larger than life ego, surpringly always matches up with his actions with words.
These, many have said, perfectly describes the Blaqbonez persona.
Shortly before he dropped the visuals to his single, Mamiwota on YouTube, and even after, Blaq, as he’s fondly called by fans, has consistently told everyone who cares to listen that he’s the best rapper in Africa.
Only recently, he complained to popular Online Doctor, Dr Olufunmilayo, about a lingering back pain he has been having from carrying other rappers on his back:
Woke up with my back hurting really bad, had to quickly run some exercises, not sure they worked
Please @DrOlufunmilayo i need a thread on what to do cos my back really hurting from carrying all these rappers
