Yesterday evening, Blaqbonez, aka Bad Boi Blaq, an artiste signed to 100 Crowns, a label imprint of Chocolate City, revealed on his official Instagram page that he had crossed the 1 million streams milestone on Apple Music.

when i was told last year that our target was a million streams, I acctually laughed, like where do i want to see it?. fast forward to today I’ve hit a million on apple music alone. not taking this moment for granted at all. thank you guys ❤️❤️❤️

In his brief, yet emotionally post, he thanked his fans for the support despite the hurdles before him as a “newbie”.

The 1 Million Streams are a reflection of the numbers from both ReUp (released in February this year) and #BadBoyBlaq (released as part of the #LAMBAugust 2018 project) albums.

Combining figures from other streaming platforms on both albums, Blaqbonez sits pretty over 2million+ streaming figure.

With this in the bag, it can only mean two things:

1. HipHop isn’t dead! At least, not yet.

2. We can we officially begin a countdown to 2 Million streams ?
